Gain Skills and Confidence to Speak About Hearing Loss with Our New Training Series

We’re excited to announce our new four-part training series, “Talking About Hearing Loss.” This series runs for four weeks and will be held via Zoom.

This training can help you if…

  • You’re a current volunteer or board member
  • You’re interested in learning about or joining our Speaker’s Bureau
  • You’d like to speak more confidently about hearing loss or HLAA-WA in any setting

You’ll learn…

  • Messages and key talking points about hearing loss and HLAA-WA
  • How to tell your hearing loss story in a compelling way
  • Ways to connect your personal experiences to information about hearing loss and to our resources and support
  • How to use our materials and handouts
  • How to customize our sample PowerPoint presentations
  • Opportunities for practicing your talks and presentations in an encouraging setting (with us!)
  • Ongoing support: ask questions and learn from one another over time, as needed

Participants can practice their talks and presentations in an encouraging setting–with us! Ongoing support and time to ask questions and learn from one another will be available, too.

Training begins in late September or early October. We’ll let you know when dates are finalized.

Like all of our programs, this training is free, captioned, and open to all.
