It’s baseball season, when hope ebbs and flows and angst is guaranteed, but where we raise our tridents and squint into the sun on a balmy summer day anyway. If you’re a longtime Mariner fan, you know what we’re talking about.
If you’re at a Mariners game at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, and you need help hearing, here are some tips.
Captions
- Open-captioning is displayed inside the ballpark on the ribbon boards in Right Center Field.
- Closed captioning is available on your smartphone via the MLB Ballpark App. Note that this is different from the MLB app, which you’re probably already using to watch the score, check standings, and look up stats. You’ll need an MLB account to access the MLB Ballpark App.
- To access captions on the MLB BallPark App…
- Navigate to the Mariners Team Page
- Select “Gameday Central”
- Click on the Closed Captioning icon. Captioning begins about 30 minutes before the first pitch.

Assistive Listening at T-Mobile Park
Stop by the Main Guest Service Center, Section 128, to pick up an assistive listening device. These are free to use during the game.
For more information on accessibility, visit the Mariners Disability Access Guide. Have more questions or need more assistance? Reach out to Mariners ADA Services at adaservices@mariners.com..
Thank you to Kirsten Robbins for the story idea, information, and for the use of or her photo of phone captions!
