You’re Invited to Our Annual Summer Picnic

Saturday, July 15, 2023
10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Meet the big hearts that lead HLAA-WA, find new friends, ask questions about hearing loss, and relax and enjoy a famous hot dog grilled by legendary barbeque artist Rick Faunt, HLAA-WA treasurer, at our annual picnic.
 
You’re encouraged to bring food to share: Last names with A-M, feel free to bring a salad or side; last names with N-Z, feel free to bring a dessert or sweet treat. We’ll provide meat, buns, condiments, utensils, bottled water, and games. Alcohol is not allowed in the park. You might want to bring additional lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Door prizes will be awarded.

Spencer Norby will install a temporary hearing loop to help us hear one another. We’ll also have other hearing-assistive tech for you to try.
 
Everyone is welcome, including friends and family.

Directions: The park entrance is on the RIGHT shortly after turning into SE 84th Way. Follow it into the park towards the gray restroom building, and park there (the only building and parking lot in the park.) Behind the building past the tennis court is our picnic shelter site The park is physically accessible with walking trails, tennis courts, and playground facilities.
 
Look for the signs. We’ll see you there!
