Members of the hard-of-hearing community across Washington State are warmly invited to our annual meeting.
Every November, we hold our annual meeting to celebrate the founding of HLAA-WA. We exist because of you and for you! Sharing your experiences and ideas can help us find the best ways to serve people with hearing loss.
We’re meeting virtually (online) again this year. To help you get to know the State of Washington Office of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH), we’re pleased to welcome ODHH Director Earnest Covington III and ODHH Hard of Hearing Consultation and Resources Manager Mary “Maggie” Campbell.
We’ll discuss…
- How ODHH helps people with hearing loss–and how they can help YOU
- Differences between the needs of people with hearing loss and people who are deaf or late-deafened
- Ideas for increasing hearing access in healthcare and telehealth
- Legislative updates and our latest advocacy efforts
- How we can promote hearing loss resources to help more people
The meeting is live-captioned and ASL-interpreted, and as always, is free to all. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re an HLAA member or you’re simply interested in hearing loss issues. Friends and family are encouraged to attend, too.
Please feel free to send this to someone who can benefit from being part of our caring community.
